iTunes will be available in Europe at the end of the year

In an interview given to the french newspaper "Les Echos", Apple's vice president for Europe, Pascal Cagni, confirmed this information.
At the moment, all content have to be re-encoded for the european platform, that is why iTunes is not yet avaible. This task takes a long time.
The vice president has also announced that the iPhone will be ready for the last quarter of this year. The launch will be synched with a new Apple Store opening in Paris!

À travers une interview donnée pour le journal "Les Echos", le Vice Président d'Apple Europe, Pascal Cagni, confirme cette information.
Pour le moment, le service n'est pas encore ouvert du fait que tous les contenus doivent être réencodés afin d'être compatibles avec la plate-forme européenne. Cela prend beaucoup de temps et c'est pourquoi iTunes n'est toujours pas disponible.
Le Vice Président a également annoncé que l'iPhone serait disponible au dernier trimestre de cette année et il y aura pour l'occasion l'ouverture un "Apple store" à Paris !
