Lors de la récente mise à jour des MacBook Pro, Apple a mis à jour la caméra embarquée.

Ne cherchez pas sur le site d'Apple, cette mise à jour a été notifiée nulle part.

C'est MacDaddyWorld.com qui a fait cette découverte en réalisant des essais avec le logiciel iGlasses.

Et on apprend que l'identification de la caméra a changé (de Ox8501 précédemment à 0x8502) mais aussi le fournisseur de l'iSight (Micron à Apple Inc)

Cette nouvelle caméra possède une résolution de 1280 par 1024 pixels. Une trés belle amélioration car « l'ancienne » ne faisait que 640 par 480 pixels.

Pour l'auteur du site, cette mise à jour matérielle est fortement liée à Mac OS 10.4.10.
Seulement aujourd'hui aucune des applications Apple n'utilise cette nouvelle resolution.

Un nouvel iLife pourrait changer la donne ?

We told you about the recent MacBook Pro hardware update, but isnce then, we discovered that Apple replaced the former iSight model by a brand new and upgraded model.

You will see nothing about that on the Apple's Web site.

We must give credit to MacDaddyWorld.com which made the discovery while reviewing the new software version of iGlasses.

The camera changed its version from Ox8501 to x8502 and is now manufacteured by Apple Inc (formerly Micron).

Camera resolution improved to 1280 × 1024 pixels (formerly VGA, 640 &times 480 pixels).

According to the Web site the update is closely related to Mac OS 10.4.10 and probably to Leopard. It will take a while for the application to take advantage to this new resolution, though.

We expect a new version of iLife very soon.
