New iPods: more compact, lighter, better and the iPod Touch

Apple announced today at the Moscone center in San-Francisco a newline-up of iPod devices during the keynote persented by Steve Jobs.

He introduced 2 updated iPods, Classic and Nano, and one brand new the iPod Touch. The latter brings the new Wifi iTunes that enable users to buy music right from the iPod Touch (And a special deal has been closed with Starbucks so that you can direct access internet and iTunes with no hassles).

The iPod Touch is the most innovative and ressembles closely to the iPhone with its multitouch screen. It plays music, video, shows photos and offers Web browsing via the WIFI buit-in. You get Safari and Youtube.

The iPod Touch is thiner than the iPhone. It is available with 8Gb or 16Gb for respectively 299$ and 399$. Get here for detailed information.

The iPod Classic has a slicker design -- with its all-metal enclosure --, its brand new interface which includes cover flow. It is available with a 80 or 160Gb with playback time of resp. 30 to 40 hrs of audio. Price is resp. 249$ and 349$ (more details)

The Nano is now given a 320×240-pixel display so that you can watch videos. The nano has been entirely redesign. It is small, despite the screen, and available in 5 eye-catching colors. The form factor has also been changed, visually appearing far more compact than before yet elegant. It is available with 4Gb or 8Gb at resp. 149$ and 199$ (more details)
